Boysko Bulletin #2

What a week it’s been at session! I’ve introduced seven bills for this session and am co-patron for a number of bills with my colleagues on a variety of topics as well. It’s been great to see many residents of the 86th District. Approximately one hundred visitors have come by expressing support or opposition to various bills before the General Assembly this year. I’ve enjoyed speaking with you all and hearing your concerns. Thanks for coming by! Visit my Facebook page to see a few photos from the week.

While on subject, please take a bit of time to answer my survey about what is important to you. Throughout the campaign, it was my honor to speak to so many of you at your doorstep and to listen to your concerns. Now that I’m in office and even away in Richmond, that will not change. Click on this link to fill out the survey. I’m here to represent you and to carry your voice!

Legislative Update

Good news! The Counties, Cities and Towns Subcommittee #1 favorably reported my Town Charter Bill to the full committee this morning for the Town of Herndon, HB106. HB 106 features a slight border change at Rock Hill Road at the Loudoun border. It also replaces out of date language in the Town Charter. It gives our professional Police Chief authority over the Town’s police force in times of an emergency. As Herndon’s Town Charter now stands, the citizen mayor has that authority. These are appropriate changes and I am glad to be of assistance to the Town on this matter.

BLIZZARD ALERT

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for parts of Northern Virginia for Friday afternoon through late Saturday night.
